Since Lord Vishwakarma is the divine engineer of the world, he is not only worshiped by the engineering and architectural community but also by all the professionals.

Just like previous years, being the house of Dental Engineering & Crafsmanship — team Smile & Profile has celebrated the auspicious occasion of Viswakarma Puja to worship its tools and equipment in His name. Dr. Tapas Sinha—HAS BEEN HONOURED BY BANK OF INDIA

Apart from being one of the best dental surgeons of the city, Dr. Tapas Sinha, the Director of Smile & Profile has always been appreciated for developing valuable relationships with corporates and individuals.

Recently, on 16th September, 2017 at the Calcutta University Institute Hall, Dr. Sinha has been honoured by the National Banking Group (East), Bank of India (BOI) as a token of gratitude for more than 39 years of his cordial and immensely valuable relationship with BOI.

THE SEMINAR—ON IMPLANTOLOGY BY NOBEL BIOCARE

The Indian chapter of NOBEL BIOCARE - the world leader in manufacturing Dental Implants and CAD/CAM-based individualized prosthetics, has organized a Seminar on Implant Dentistry in the banquet of Hotel Niiki at Sambalpur, Odisha on 30th August, 2017 where the eminent Prosthodontist & Implantologist of Smile & Profile has been invited to attend the seminar as the honorable Speaker of the subject.

AWARENESS SEMINAR—ON ORAL CANCER BY POLICE TRAINING SCHOOL (PTS)

To increase the awareness regarding one of the fastest spreading fatal diseases, called Oral Cancer, the Police Training School (PTS) of Kolkata has organized a seminar at the school auditorium on 26th August 2017 for the trainee police and top ranked cadets of Kolkata Police. Several high ranked officers and trainers of Kolkata Police were also present during the Seminar. The eminent Oral Oncologist and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon of Smile & Profile, Dr. Swagato Chowdhury had been invited by the department to attend the seminar as the honorable Speaker of the subject. During an hour long session, Dr. Chowdhury highlighted on the tentative causes, symptoms, associated risk factors and various stages of Oral Cancer. He also gave his expert opinion on the fatality, advanced diagnostics and various treatments available in different stages of Cancer along with the possibility of rehabilitation for the patient.

The most interesting part of the seminar was the interactive session, where most of the 200+ audience has interacted with Dr. Chowdhury with their spontaneous queries on Oral Cancer and increased their knowledge on how to spread awareness to the common mass in order to eradicate the intensity of the disease from the ‘city of joy’. As the event ended in a highly successful note, the organizers have decided to organize such seminars with Dr. Chowdhury in the near future in order to spread awareness on Oral Cancer in a larger scale.

STRATEGIC IMPLANTOLOGY CONFERENCE 2017

Under the Chairmanship of Dr. Abhijit Mahata, the founder Director of Smile & Profile, the 2 day long 'Strategic Implantology Conference 2017' was concluded on 25th of July, 2017 at Goa with highly successful note.

The event was marked by several scientific presentations along with a grand celebration of the birthday of Prof. Ihde. The conference was held from 24th – 25th July, 2017 at Holiday Inn Resort, Goa.

The Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Dr Abhijit Mahata, together with Dr J K Singh, the co-Chairman, Dr Vivek Gaur, the "backbone" of the congress, Dr Veerendrakumar SC, the Scientific Committee Chairman, all the speakers and 160+ delegates came together from various parts of India and abroad to make this a grand event.

Scientific deliberations which took place included talks by the experts in Strategic & Basal Implantology from India as well as from several other countries. Prof. Dr. Stefan Ihde of Germany, Prof Dr. Valeriy Lysenko of Ukraine, Prof Dr Nikolai Spiridonov of Russia, Prof Dr Yan Vares of Ukraine, Dr. Kiran Patel from India, Dr. Łukasz Pałka from Poland, Dr Veerendrakumar SC from India, Dr. Fodor Calin from Romania, Dr. Yuri Mitrushchenkov from Russia, Dr. Prasanth Pillai from India, Dr. Vivek Gaur from India, Dr. Aleksandar Lazarov from Bulgaria, Dr. Nora from Hungary and Dr. Leela Krishna from India were the honorable speakers in the conference.

At the end of the event the organizing committee members decided that Kochi would be the venue of next year’s conference. Team Smile & Profile is extremely proud and congratulating their leader, Dr. Abhijit Mahata for successful conclusion of such a high end internationl event at Goa.

Therefore, to encash the world-class medical service in reasonably low-cost in Eastern part of India, Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) has organized a Convention on "Medical Tourism, Wellness and Global Healthcare" on 10th of February, 2017 at the 'Ballroom' of The Gateway Hotel, Kolkata, West Bengal, INDIA.

During her speech, Dr. Sinha emphasized on the potentiality of Dental Tourism in Kolkata as the gateway of Eastern India. LIFE TIME ACHIEVEMENT TO—DR. TAPAS SINHA FROM INDIAN DENTAL ASSOCIATION (IDA) ANOTHER FEATHER TO THE CAP OF OUR LEADER

The Director of Smile & Profile - Dr. Tapas Sinha, has recently being felicitated with the LIFE TIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD 2016 by the Indian Dental Association (IDA) for his contribution in the field of Dentistry, on the stage of ‘52nd IDA West Bengal State Annual Conference, 2016’.

In a grand ceremony on 17th December, 2016 he had received the award from the hand of Sri Arup Roy, Honourable Minister in Charge – Co-operation Department, Govt. of West Bengal, in presence of several dignitaries and fully packed audience in the Conference Hall of Lake Land Country Club, Howrah.

Graduated (B.D.S) from Dr. R. Ahmed Dental College & Hospital, Dr. Sinha had also obtained Certificates in Sports Medicine from Jadavpur University and Application of Lasers in Dentistry. A Life Member of Indian Academy of Laser Dentistry and Society of Laser Applications India, he had published more than 50 Articles in all leading and reputed English & Bengali Newspapers and Magazines. Till date he has treated more than 3 Lakh patients, successfully.
